ViralURL Firefox Plugin Installation Tips
Posted by Frank Bauer (Import) on 05 March 2012 12:03 AM
Usually it is very easy to install the ViralURL FireFox plugin. You click on the download link at http://viralplugin.com and Firefox asks you after a few seconds if you like to install it.  After that you simple restart FireFox and you are done.

I uploaded a video on YouTube showing you how it should look like:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7as9fUBx2U

Now... if that doesn't work on your computer, there are multiple possibilities that might cause it.

a) It might be that at some point in the past you tried to download a plugin and when FireFox asked, you told it not to do so and not to ask you anymore.

b) You might have another software installed on your computer that interrupts Firefox from trying to download the plugin

c) There might be something else wrong with your computers software installation that causes this problem.

The first thing I would try is to simply close FireFox, then start it again and see if it now works.

If it still doesn't, I would try to uninstall FireFox, then download a new copy from the Internet and reinstall it.

If that still doesn't help and you have any kind of anti spyware or anti virus software installed that might be causing this by mistake, I would turn them of and then try again.

Another option is to try is restarting the computer helps.

If you don't know what software causes the problem, another option would be to try to turn every single software off, except FireFox and then try it again.

If every thing fails, the last option that you will want to prevent if possible... is to reinstall the complete computer.

Before you do that, you might want to also try to use a different computer instead... at the very least to confirm that the problem is your computer before you take the drastic step of reinstalling it.
