How the positions & %ages in the Message Center are calculated...

Here is how the positions and %ages in the ViralURL Message Center are calculated...

1. We compare all 200 messages and calculate the actual open rates and click rates. These are used to sort the messages.

2. The message with the best open rate / click rate becomes #1 in that category and is shown as 100%.

3. The %ages of all other messages are calculated based on the #1... if a particular message has e.g. 1/2 of the open rate or click rate, it's shown as 1/2 of 100% = 50% or if a particular message has e.g. 1/4 of the open rate or click rate, it's shown as 1/4 of 100% = 25%. A message that was not opened / clicked at all will be shown as 0%.

We implemented this %age based system to keep the real number of opens & clicks private for the actual sender of the message (Elite members can see those exact stats).
