Add2it Server Script Installation Tips

Here are some quick tips (besides the installation instructions that come in the readme file of each script)... 1. Use email forwarders instead of POP3 access wheneven possiple (e.g. cPanel) 2. Leave the www. of the domain away to shorten URLs whereever possible. 3. Add2it MailResponder Pro: - If possible, install in: http://domain.com/mrp/ If not possible, install in: http://domain.com/cgi-bin/mrp/ - create MySQL database - create cron-job as described in the script settings section */5 * * * * /path/to/the/mrp/schedule.pl If your web host does not allow cron-jobs, add this HTML code at the bottom of the index.htm file as well as all scripts footer HTML code right before: - If your server has cpanel, setup two email forwarders: mrp@domain.com -> |/path/to/the/mrp/filter.pl returnto@domain.com -> |/path/to/the/mrp/bounce.pl If your server doesn't have cpanel and does not allow the above piping of emails to a script, setup POP3 email boxes instead and adjust the script settings to read the emails in those POP3 boxes. 4.
