Marketing is the same, no matter if done on the Internet or aff the Internet (radio, TV, newspaper etc.).

It's all about providing something of value in return for money.

So, is it BS?  I would say it depends on who does the marketing.

I personally believe that it's all about providing a product or services of value to the customer and in return being paid for the effort.
